Take part in this session to discover the very important role that Buckingham Palace plays in supporting His Majesty The King in his role as Head of State. What royal events take place in the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace? What happens during a State Visit?

During the tour of the State Rooms, your class will discover how the role of the palace has changed through the different reigns of past monarchs and explore some of the traditions that are still in place today. Discover what Queen Victoria, the first monarch to live in Buckingham Place, thought of the palace and how did she change it over her time spent living there.

Session availability:

Book this session during Schools Week  (30 Sept - 4 October) and experience exclusive access to The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.

Sessions also available to book on: Thursdays and Fridays 12 to 27 September and Wednesday 25 September.

Session times 10:30am and 12:30pm.
